Modern Slavery Statement

Our position on modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.

Purpose

Servio Support Services Ltd does not meet the turnover threshold at which a statement is required under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We publish this statement voluntarily because we employ people locally and remotely, and our clients are entitled to know how we manage that risk.

Our business

We provide outsourced administration, bookkeeping, coordination and compliance support to small organisations, mainly in Greater Manchester and the North West. We employ office-based staff in Oldham and engage remote team members in other countries. Our supply chain is short: software providers, professional advisers and office suppliers.

Where the risk sits

We assess our overall risk as low, but not absent. The areas we watch are these.

  • Recruitment of remote workers, where intermediaries or unclear terms could create exploitation risk
  • Any use of labour agencies, which we avoid in favour of direct hiring
  • Office and cleaning services procured for our premises
  • Clients in sectors with recognised labour risk, where our work touches staff records

What we do about it

Our controls are practical and proportionate to our size.

  • We recruit remote team members directly and contract with them by name, never through unnamed intermediaries
  • Every team member receives written terms stating pay, hours and notice before starting work
  • We pay at or above the local legal minimum in every location where we engage people, and never below the UK National Living Wage equivalent for full-time remote roles
  • We never hold identity documents, charge recruitment fees or make deductions from pay as a condition of employment
  • Staff can raise concerns directly with the director and are protected from retaliation for doing so

Suppliers

We expect our suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to be able to evidence it on request. Where a supplier cannot satisfy us, we reserve the right to end the relationship.

Training and review

Everyone involved in hiring is briefed on the indicators of forced labour and exploitation and on how to escalate a concern. This statement is reviewed annually and was approved by the director of Servio Support Services Ltd on 18 September 2026.

Reporting a concern

Anyone who suspects modern slavery in our business or supply chain should email hello@serviosupport.com. Concerns can also be reported confidentially to the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700.

This page is a plain-English summary of our practices. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace the signed scope of work that governs an engagement.
